DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

Design and Technology are combined in this A Level course which will give you a broader knowledge of the subject. The course will equip you with design skills for the future. It will help you to recognise and interpret design needs and develop an understanding of how current global issues, including integrating technology, impact on today’s world.
We follow the Eduqas (part of WJEC) specification.

Mr Mottley

We will encourage and nurture your creativity and innovation and aim to give you the confidence to innovate and produce creative design solutions as you develop your own design brief with a client and/or end user. It is expected that you are passionate about designing and have an aptitude for creativity and problem solving. You should also have a sound knowledge of materials and commercial manufacturing techniques. You will need enthusiasm, commitment, an open creative mind and a willingness to learn.
