Presentation Evening 2025

The envelopes were ready, the awards printed and the cups polished. Last week we held our annual Presentation Evening, celebrating the achievements of our previous years’ Leavers. After a welcome by College Director Mr Atkin, the Evening was handed over to Miss Read, the Head of Year 13, who gave her reflections and memories of the 2024 Leavers.

Each student was then invited up to the stage to collect their examination certificates. Whilst they received their certificates, we heard about the qualifications they had gained and the various paths they have chosen to follow.

Following this the anticipation grew – it was time to announce the winners of the Subject and College Awards!

The Subject Awards were announced first, with subject teachers having chosen one student per subject in recognition of their excellent attainment, achievement and /or attitude. Our winners this year were as follows:

Mrs Cheeseman’s Award for Achievement is awarded to the student with the highest overall value-added score. Value-added is a measure of progress, comparing the grade attained by a student with the grade they were expected to attain. This year’s winner was Maddi Proctor.

The Richardson Cup for Student Endeavour is awarded to a student who has performed excellently in their exams, despite having to cope with challenging circumstances outside of College. This year’s winner was Quinn Linney.

The Lions Club Award for Community Service is awarded to the student who has contributed most to the local community during their time at the College. This year’s winner was Ryan Walpole in recognition of his work for the Ukraine Appeal.

The Evening concluded with closing words from Mr Atkin and photographs before everyone moved to the Conservatory for refreshments and a chance to catch up.

We had a lovely Evening and wish every one of our students the greatest success in all they do.
